Treasure Hunt setters Annie Cave (left) and Marie Salter say they’ve enjoyed keeping you entertained this summer

Continued coronavirus lockdown didn’t stop us from entertaining you this summer. In our second walking treasure hunt of 2020, several teams took to the streets of Glastonbury for our special August staycation hunt.

Organised by hunt setters, Annie Cave and Marie Salter, teams were put through their paces with more than 70 questions, and helped raise money for our society at the same time

And since our last treasure hunt, the top spot hasn’t changed, with top marks going to The Linhams, who scored 72 points. Being pipped to second place was The Eversons with 66.5 points. In third place was Sandra G and Friend with 64 and joint fourth went to Parsons Knows, Scrunchie Squad, and Dinorod! all with 60.5.

This year’s hunts have been unusual ones as we continue to face restrictions due to the coronavirus. While in previous years we have run the hunt as a fundraiser, this year’s was free although we were happy to accept donations. So we have been delighted to receive over £120 for our Society, at a time when theatre and the arts is appealing for much-needed financial support. Thanks to all those who took part and donated.

Our hunt setters, Annie and Marie, said: “We have enjoyed entertaining you with the summer treasure hunts, and hope you have had fun solving them. Thank you for continuing to support Glastonbury and Street Musical Comedy Society.”

Just in case you’re interested, and want to know where you went wrong, here’s the answer sheet to our Glastonbury staycation hunt.
